Long standing Millerson Branch Manager will take a step back from the family firm

After 32 years of working for us, Adrian Gay has retired as Branch Manager of our Helston office.
However, he will continue to share his invaluable experience, knowledge and deep understanding of the area by working as a consultant for the family firm.
Adrian, who was born and raised in Constantine, near Falmouth, initially began a career in banking when he left school. After eight years with Barclays, he applied for a job with the Miller family’s estate agency and was interviewed by Geofrey Miller, son of the company’s founder and still a partner alongside his son, Jeremy.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the business but have decided to take early retirement to spend more time with my family and enjoy my hobbies. I feel very fortunate to have been offered a consultancy position, which means I will still be available to any client who requests my input and will also help in any other way I can.”
Adrian is a proud Cornishman who enjoys immersing himself in Cornish life. He played football and cricket for Constantine for many years and is the Assistant Musical Director for the Penryn based Treverva Male Voice Choir. What he enjoys most is spending time with his wife, Naomi and children, Harry, 9 and Daisy, 7, not forgetting the family dog, Poppy, a black Cockapoo.
“I don’t think I’ll get bored, I’ve got quite a lot of decorating, gardening and DIY projects to keep me occupied and I’ll still be part of the Millerson team,” he said.
Jeremy Miller said: “Adrian has contributed hugely with his expertise, experience and of course his dry wit. He will be a greatly missed in the office on a day to day basis, but we’re delighted he’ll remain an active member of the Millerson family. We all hope he thoroughly enjoys the extra time to relax.”
