The rental market in mid Cornwall is hot this summer

Wed 27 Jul 2016

It wasn’t just the weather that was scorching in mid Cornwall this July, the property rental market was just as hot, but unlike the weather the letting heatwave looks set to continue.

Millerson Estate Agents’ lettings teams covering Redruth, Camborne, Truro, Falmouth, Penryn and Perranporth have noticed a huge spike in demand in the last few weeks.

In Perranporth it’s larger family homes with three bedrooms or more that are most sought after, each property attracting multiple enquiries within hours of hitting the market.

Claire Brand is a Lettings Negotiator based in the Perranporth office. She said: “As soon as a family home becomes available the enquiries start. I’ve been organising block viewings for up to 20 interested parties at a time and the details of an agreement are usually organised by the end of the same day.”

It’s a similar story at our Redruth-based mid Cornwall lettings office with one property recently being let within 24 hours.

Team Manager, Jason Smith, said: “The demand we are experiencing is stronger than ever and increasingly we are seeing several tenants applying for the same property. We’re getting enthusiastic and complimentary feedback from landlords and what we need now is more property to satisfy the demand.

“As an incentive and because we are confident we can let property for the best rent and in the quickest time, we are offering two months’ management for free.”

Full details of all lettings services are available by contacting the individual offices: Redruth 01209 310970 and Perranporth 01872 573700.
